MemberMy friend’s dog managed to escape the back garden (now secure) and walked to her mums ::) However her mum was out and to be honest (from reports from people in village) dog became a bit agitated and confused. She is 12 year golden labrador called Amber. Anyhow my friend went to police, dog warden, local kennels etc and dog was nowhere to be found :'(
Next day she was up early looking for dog and found her being walked by a young man who was insistent that the dog belonged to him. New collar and lead on >:( After a discussion where my friend said lets go to police and resolve this the man then changed his story a few times and eventually relented and gave the dog up. ;D
Amber is happy to be home – this happened on Friday/Saturday however her hair is coming out in handfuls most likely due to stress and confusion. She appears to be herself in every other way but her hair coming out is a concern. Any witchy woo stuff to help it stop moulting and make her goldilocks again ???

MemberPoor yellow labrador!
Dogs will shed hair to a greater or lesser degree under stress.
No quick fixes; as it is normal to shed hair (just not that quickly) it will grow back ok.

MemberDoesnt matter to me – each to their own – more concerned that AMBER gets well and that if anyone else had this issue they knew what to do
