Ok, just this second got a call from the vet …we sent in a fecal sample and they tested it and found a parasite called coccidia. She said she should be able to fight it off herself but to keep a close eye for a week or so

who knows anything about this?

Simply finding oocysts in the feces of a dog does not necessarily indicate the presence of coccidiosis. Many oocysts may pass in the feces, even in dogs that appear clinically normal
Has she had any diarrhea?

Yes, she had a bad bout of the runs which was treated with panacure…the runs have stopped for 4 days now but we only took the sample in yesterday

just looked it up; my dog is getting embarassing ::)

If there’s no more diarrhea for a week or so, does that mean she’s passed the badness?

She is fit and well she should be able to fight the little ***** off just watch for the runs coming back or her looking not her normal bright self
