Hello,

Thought I’d introduce myself from the start too…

I’m Ben… I’m 27 and live in Norfolk. I’m an architect and work for my Dad from his house in the countryside which is really great (especially for the Dawg)…

and this is Izzy… She’s 10.5weeks old (born on 13th May) and is a Black Lab. I’m going to be training her as a gunner so she can come shooting with me.

I have been trying to teach a few things to her but, after reading Bev’s posts about Criterias, I’ve realised I’ve done too much too soon (as have many people before me I’m sure). She sits well, and does retrive most of the time, but I need to take her back to C1 and start from scratch asap so she can learn recall properly! I’ll be starting this evening! 🙂 I’m also going to pick up a clicker this afternoon… definitaly seems like the best way to go!

We’ve met & you already know who i am ‘owned’ by. 😉 Strangely enough you could have met a sloppy Rottweiler a couple of weeks ago because we were up in Wisbech on the west norfolk border on holiday for a week. lol

Indeed she does… Although I’ve come to the realisation that letting her run around the paddock every 2hrs or so isn’t helping at all with her recall training (or my work productivity for that matter! 🙂 )

So I’ve got to take it all the way back to Criteria 1! 🙁
