Forgot to tell you.

Seems I charged the clicker better than i thought with Honey – and that she doesnt mind it when outside used by someone else – she heard the click and sat to attention at Izzies feet……….think its just me whos screwed her mind where the clickers concerned – that or being in the house, am going to test it up the park asap!!

to be fair, it wasn’t the ball he was interested in 😉 as soon as somedog stopped playing he soon lost interest :yes:

Can tell you as much as i saw – i was busy watching Fritz fetch ball – that dog does a brilliant spit 😀

Izzie was throwing the ball for Jess, and clicking her when she bought it back to hand…….Honey was just hanging round our feet then she heard the click and went and sat in front of izzie doing her I want a treat face…………

so what do you think…she associates click with treat or click is a cue?….for example if mine hear a not directed at click ….even if it the top of a pen say…they look as if what?…did i do something…a dog that hasnt progressed from charging looks at the floor….

so tell us again what clicker training you tried with her and how you did it…and noooo no taking it to the park…yet… ;D

not sure Bev – i just assumed she heard click and thought a treat was coming – im not sure if she would see the click as a cue – hard to say she looks like i smacked her over the head with a bag of bricks when i click it ::) but if she saw it as a cue then maybe a sit…….we did the scattering treats and clicking – just as you said the click treat click treat…thats as far as we got cos i always thought she looked so traumatised i felt horrible! Never got as far as actually doing anything else with her with it…..

assume honey knew you had treats….so did you test it to see if it was the click or the treat that stimulated the behaviour 😉

i love making things difficult ;D ;D
