When ever i have been out on a bike ride with dodger i’ve always loved to see how he moves…. I don’t no much about movement in regards to health unless it is really obvious so took some video’s and would be interested to see what people think about his movement. A friend has been promising to see if she can get the book dog steps? from her college but so far no luck….. Would like to no what to look out for in regards to movement, especially in GSD’s.

What do you people think of his movement? 🙂 forgive the crazy video skills i was taking it will cycling on the bike along with keeping watch for approaching people & dogs.

a hard one laura cos you doing the cycling and vid and cue stuff…but ..what i do see is that he not gone into the energy saving herder.drive on  ‘gait’…at least not on the vid…i also thought i saw a bit of a limpup correct…a sort of hop skip…minimised but there…

you need to get someone else to vid this for a fair assessment…

he all grown up bless him…
still carry that tail high i see…
    🙂

we went out with him and benji for a walk, dropped benji off home and then went for a 20 min cycle. Got back home and he had a 5 min rest while i went and found my phone. Then went back out for 10 mins to try and video tape him so no he wasn’t in his full power gait – just his airy fairy one lol…. i have another video so will post that up, could his limp be because of his red and itching pad’s?

His tail is still a pain but give him another 5 mins of gaiting and then it hangs perfectly :-*

is it a behavior or something physical?

he holds himself back when he goes to far?
he has one ear pointed back waiting for his next cue?
    he isn’t running off?
he isn’t searching for his next ‘victim’ >:D
    he is offlead 😮

…this thinking stuff is a lot harder than people think ;D

i am beginning to think you make these up >:D

    erm….

looking at the grass because he has smelt something he wants to go see or pee on but deciding to stay put by my side?

deciding to slow down when he gets beyond the front tire?

i think i deserve a clue now

really kicks in at 8 sec then is really obvious at 5…then alters as your bike distance to his body moves…he does ffs…and accepts that reluctantly….brill…clever boy….

i dont make them up  😮 i see it in slow motion  😉 and look out of the box  🙂 i also expect to see this stuff or wonder if i will be there before i watch the vids  😀
