Hello again not been on here for a while all happy with george who is now 2 but would like to know if chicken and rice is a good diet or do i need to add other things into it for nutrients he seems to love it and coat very shiny

Is this a home made diet or a complete food from a shop?

If it is the former it may not always be wise to feed the same thing day in day out as some animals can become sensitised to an ingredient and chickan and rice alone will not cover the entire spectrum of nutritional needs.

Yes it is home made and we have been putting an handful of complete with it what else could we put with it so that he does get the nutrients he needs

im not sure that mixing complete dog food with natural is very good for the dog

best diet for a lab 🙂 selection of raw meaty bones, chicken wings, raw meats, veggies and fruit and minimum carbs…..certainly not rice every day…..there is not enough of the required nutrients in chicken and rice…including not enough of variety of amino acids in the chicken protein
