Homing requirements: Oliver needs a family with the confidence to socialise a big bouncy young dog. He would settle very well in with another dog in the future but at this stage needs to be an only dog. He would need older dog savvy children. Oliver needs a low dog density area and will become an off lead dog following an intense training focus with his owners. His coat needs regular grooming sessions. His Story: Oliver was found stray with an unkempt coat and neutered. His owners were contacted but they couldn’t take him back. He had lived with children. We homed with an older dog and children. His owner lived in high dog density area and his issues at the time meant she found him hard to manage. He has been fostered for 2 months with 2 Staffies and introduced to off lead exercise but the resident Staffie didn’t trust him so he came back into kennels in Godstone.
Advert: Oliver is young and lively such is his breed types. Amazingly he responds when called away … and YES he does comply! Oliver needs a training orientated family to support him as he brings his energy under his own control. He is aware and tries to attend to his handler but can get excited meeting other dogs and needs a strategy to support him. Oliver needs routine, a fair sized secure garden and he needs a doggy friend outside the home to explore his energy and develop skills further. Oliver is co-operative when being groomed.
Oliver is a Border Collie x English Springer according to DNA; 20″ to the shoulder. The front paw-hands are ready to hug you. Oliver has a non-moult coat. Oliver will change your life’s tempo, he is settling, he is coming up to 2 years old and another year should enable him further. Adolescence has been difficult for Oliver but his heart is true and he looks to his owners to support him further as the mature dog emerges.

MemberOliver has already set off for his walk when we were snapping away at the kennel photoshoot on Saturday. By the time he did arrive back he had already has a good old muddy romp on his walk and was looking rather pleased about it!
