Hi,

Kerrie – i would think your main risk would be from your kennel volunteering or if you have seals landing on the beach.  aside from that your community is so restricted that probably protects you a little as many tourists coming with dogs will have had to vacc them to stay in accomodation.

If he’s a generally calm boy – what about finding out how much titres are for him ?  You might find that he’s already got protection from previous boosters as its only a year ago you had him done ?

Also – sweetypye – i see my vets are now offering a killed vaccine in place of MLV’s are these safer and do they still have the same probs (like autoimmune stuff etc ….) I have 1 dog who previously had mild MLV reactions twice and another who hasnt been boosted for 3yrs now and am wondering if killed are safe(er) ??
