A Poem That Takes Me Back

i love kiplings writings…my fave poem of his is ‘IF…’

remember learning ‘the power of the dog’ for a school reading when i was about 11 and had just lost the first dog that had been all mine  :'(

and all cat lovers should read the cat that walked by himself from the just so stories  🙂

and the jungle books…the real jungle books….i always wanted a mongoose after reading rikki tikki tavi  😀 😀

i am the cat that walks by himself and all places are alike to me.  🙂

i loved rikki tikki tavi – am sure my grandmother said they had a mongoose that came in while they were out in africa….  :-\
