gosh its strange. I wonder if the flat coated came from the Goldy. dose this mean the goldy has black in its jeans (cant spell it)?

If you look at the post I made today in dog breeds about breed origins – the retriever breeds were crossed for many years, and early litters had golden and flatcoat types in. There was meant to be one dog – forget his kennel name – that the breeds were descended from. I will see if I can remember where the Lab colour genetics thing is – cos the colour inheritance is similar I think – and you could have a play with that.  😉 Just have to remember the site.  😀

And genes is how it’s spelt since you asked.  🙂
