difficult isnt it – sometimes dogs will get scared and then return, others just spook and lose sense of direction.

I have finally managed to get doglost to put a piccy on beau’s poster its not the best one ever but he’s easily distinguishable from it 🙂

Keep calling the police if they have kennels locally, if they dont call the dog warden again and ask which kennels they tell people to take strays to (they dont collect themselves unless they really have to !!)

also – some police forces dont even have a scanner – apparently the met in london have something like 1 scanner to cover several areas !!

Chances are he will not come back to the field he will run maybe a mile or so then go to ground.
Get the flyers up qiuck all round the area

hannah….tell mum to remember her whistle…and to get blowing the recall as she looking over and over….he has good sense of direction …good road sense and he a collie…they know how to take care of themselves….he knows his streets around the house and between house and horse field….i think he will go back to the field…so do as izzie said and get scents down….has mum been down to the beach….if she driving the chances are she may miss him as he will do the short cuts….so head out car window and whistle…

empty the hover bag near where you live. it is one of the strongest smells of you and your home and if empty out side the smell can carry for miles , you dog can use it to find his way home. also put up posters and knock on as many doors as you can. good luck I hope he gets home soon
