Beau’s Missing

i think he spent most of the day hidden and he came out just after my dad had done another round with ben, he made it to my parents back yard or garden but got spooked again and bolted along one of the main roads where a friend followed him he was almost caught by the dog warden but not quite he then dashed through some fields out the other side infront of another friend on her horse out looking she called and he bolted again through fields again out the orther side up a main road just down from where my parents and another friend stood they jumped in car and headed out after him but he was gone by the time they got down to where they saw him, i have been all over whisteling and calling back for an hour to let traffic settle again that was all at about 4.30 pm i have spent another 2 hrs out and will go out again when the traffic is calmer, will take ben and food and wil put food in the yard and take some down to the horses field even if all it does it get him to somewhere that i can leave a blanket from my bed for him to hide for the night…but there are fireworks going off now and he is terrified of those ..  :'(

i am hoping he’s hiding somwehere safe and not near the roads, predominantly black dog and roads is not good  :'(

the fireworks may just work in your favour…yep he will be nervy and scared but it dark and he will go to ground…also his clock is a hour ahead still….put all the lights on in the house and open a window so you can listen out for him…you need to go back up to the field just before dawn in case he goes there ove night so you can hopefully get him before light and before he spooks again…he made it back to you mums once hun…he will have tracked himself…he there somewhere…try and keep calm…hard i know…hugs to you both…

i think bev is right – if he’s been to ground for a while before coming out then after he’s spooked again he’ll probably go back to ground and with fireworks it’ll keep him there and safe while the traffic calms etc…

once they stop and he has a while to settle he may try home / a known house or the horses. 

he knows where he is and is keeping safe 🙂

ok thats a bed and food down the horses field, there is food outside in yard back gate open windows open back door unlocked so he can get it (he can open it) dog warden called again whilst i was out to say he is on call through the night and will go out take a look and if anyone calls he’ll go out get him and call me.

i will go empty the hoover bag in a min just outside the gate (neighbours will love that but i don’t care!) and my parents have their doors open so their house is freezing too…just in case he makes his way back there again.

i’ll let you know if anything happens, i have to sit and wait, will go out just before dawn again hopefully he’ll come out will taje food with me.

He got so close to home, he will come back again. At least you know he isnt hurt, it doesnt make it any easier but you have that, hang onto that :-*
