thanks everyone. i took him to the vets because he has been very lethargic lately and he has dropped 8 kilos of weight  :-\ they did a blood test which has come back clean so they want to do a scan and x-rays to see if he has a heart contition or a problem within his chest. hes going in monday morning

well stan went into the vets this morning for his x-rays, i got a phone call at about 11am saying that his stomach was twice the normal size, it was pushing on his liver and they needed to operate :'( i rushed over to the vets to speak to a vet about whats going on but no one would see me. i finaly got to speak to a vet at 3pm, they said that there wasnt anything abnormal in his tummy but it was full of gas which isnt normal. they have taken more bloods and are doing a more detailed bloodwork. they have no idea why he has dropped so much weight nor why he had a huge tummy full of gas so im just waiting for the next blood results now.

but he is back at home and looking a bit sorry for himself

hope the bloods come up with some answers for you – bloat cant always be explained though but looks as though there is something else happening with the weight loss.  fingers crossed for some answers  :-*

sorry for the delayed update, my internet went down ::)

well stan is much better and has put on 2 kilos since his opp last week, yay, all the blood tests have come back clear and stan is bouncing off the walls so im guessing he has his energy back lol
he has his stitches out on friday so he can get back to his normal walking regime next week, bet he will be happy with that  ;D

thankyou to everyone for the well wishes and i hope that it was just a one off and isnt going to re-accure.
