CALLING ALL GSD PEOPLE!!

Hi,

I’m assisting with a very sad situation where a good friend of mine is having to re-home her 2 stunning GSD’s.  If there is anyone you know who might foster or home these dogs PLEASE PLEASE get in touch with me ASAP they are very urgent.

Male, 4-5yrs, black + tan short coat, neutered, vacc’d, wormed/flea’d, OK to be left for 2hrs.

Female, 15mth, sable short coat, entire, vaccs due, wormed/flea’d, can chew if left.

Living as a pair but could be split fine though female would ideally like dog company in foster/new home.

In Northamptonshire area but could travel and be split for right foster or home.

I would ask people to *PLEASE DO NOT X-POST* these dogs (there are good reasons)

First port of call should always be the dog’s breeder(s)All the GSD breeders I know & recommend always take back dogs they have bred @ any age(& I do mean any age)

thank you woofums 🙂  i spoke to John (biggsd) yesterday and got lots of helpful leads 🙂  i am in the process of getting them on the websites too 🙂  your e-mail was very helpful.  I was just trying to drum up more options as the girl is young and nice and thought maybe if someone is looking she could go straight to a home ?

Sadly, both these dogs were already re-homes and the rescues have been contacted but cannot take the dogs back.  The boy looks to be short in the leg but still “all shepherd” so could be pet bred, the girl (to me) looks like a ‘normal’ GSD dog.

They are in Northamptonshire

p.s. no they not on DPs (yet) they really need to go into a rescue rather than private re-home to try and guarentee that someone will look out for them in future especially as bitch is entire.
