when it feeding time and all the signals start to go into place – fags drink ashtray on table, feeding mats on the floor etc they start to get excited – falkor …being the food freak bumbles about wowowing hurry up hurry up …if he goes near ami’s mat while he doing this she fires off at him sending him back to his spot….

yesterday afternoon it was the pup that did it  😮 – he sort of did stiff leg jumps – like a cartoon dog  ;D barking in falkor’s face and driving him back to the kitchen entrance – ami lay down quietly and let him do it  ::)
Mo and I just looked at each other – looked at him – looked at each other and then we both said at the same time – ‘bloody hell’…………
i ..once i had gathered my senses ..yelled ‘cubert…SPOT’ – and he strolled back to his mat all yeah yeah yeah and gave me ‘the look’….it must have empowered him because after their bones they get the oil and blood stuff left on the trays to lick and i been letting him and ami share one….put it on floor they both go to it and he growled – low and deep (as low as his chest can produce) at ami  😮  😮   :-X he wont do that again…she didnt lay down for that  >:D  he spent the rest of the evening trying to clean himself up from being thwacked into the oil tray  😀

roflol the little clumbers finding his feet  >:D  😀 and bless Falkor  :-*

But In all seriousness Bev how does that stand for what you want him to do in your pack – is it a good thing yes?

yep it good – at the moment he is learning the boundaries – testing his strength and mental attitude – he wouldnt have dared that with sam or ami – ami lets him get away with some stuff – so he learning what he can and cannot – he copying ami an awful lot …he now wows if she wows and occasionally he will now wow on his own but it is in a situation when she would if you with me – sam is very tolerant of him but his communication is very vocal and comes with strong body language and i certainly dont want him learning that  ::) ami steps in to protect him if she thinks sam is being too rough but nothing fazes him and that is a worry..

am not re-enforcing pack place at the moment but i am not interfering with it too much yet either except when i want to establish myself – like me cueing him off falkor yesterday – i need to get that fluent before i can add cues to the communication behaviours as i dont want him just learning he does stuff all the time by his choice…he just turning operant …..if i leave him – even for a short while – i get a huge greeting – he even done the pissyfeet thing twice – he teething at the moment so it hard for him to focus long when doing training sessions

and he is how old now?  😮 ;D (yes i know his date of birth but am braindead and can’t work out how old that means he is at moment  ::) ). sounds like you got a mega boy there – what were you saying about good male pack leaders being hard to find?  ;D

ami just got sense – women know that as long as the bloke doing what they want leave them to it and save themselves the effort – only step in if they need a bit of directing.  ;D

(think i may need to duck from flying objects from diesel mark and nick  😀 is still true tho.  ;D ).
