Don’t know Bev, maybe…don’t know!  But I got a question for you, just a quick one, working dogs, I’m new to the canine world still so when a dog goes out to work does its owner always go with?  Not sure it’s the right question, just want to know more I guess and am very tired today so not explaining myself v well.

Not had any boy pups of my own except Tobyjug…the red setter 34 years ago…and boy… Did I sure get it in the neck then from dad…and yep he was a BTD to train…so have kept away from baby boys …me is a good girl…me does as told  😀

Loved clumbers since I was 4…the story on here re my first clumber experience… and so stuck to girlies from pup and rescue boyo’s that needed…

Partly because of above and because I felt confident with the girls… (I like their snooty… one person ish attitude…and I knew real early the boys could be shite’s ) but I had always said IF I ever had a boy he would be called Falkor…after the luck dragon… as you do… it was a ‘saying’ ….and then we rescued a young lad at 18 months and I thought well…not going to ever have a boy pup so…he Falkor …my spotty nosed love  :-*

Rest is history really…it all on here couldn’t wouldn’t etc…and then of course did…and still I had doubts at that point…oh no…not about loving him but about capability…and no not even/or just his …but mine… :pray:

And then…it well no matter…if it doesn’t work out … it doesn’t…he will be our baby boy forever and ever and I will get a girl to work with…but…made extra effort and made some adjustments…because I need and doggies out there need help…and I lost my princess and clumber girlies so hard to find and then I need a bit more than and and… so …nothing to lose really…works or not…that was my mind set from day one…

Ok enough rambling… 😀

As you know I been cueing the conversation stuff…been ok…me been a bit humph we will see….after all he has brose’s paw prints to step into…and ami’s too but ami will never be a brose and that not a slagging her off …she my precious my clown  :-*…that is just honesty…got her too late but…she has come on more than anyone could ever have told me she could but…there are serious gaps…

So I trundling along…kicking myself every now and then…beating myself up with the he cannot he will not it too early…(bear in mind I know his lines…and daddy is drop dead gorgeous. …But…he a clumber male and clumber males have attitude at times…but Jan knows and does what she does and gets it all ok….Jan wont mind a quote…STOP P’ING ME OFF  haha)  but…I early on knew that Cubie had that potential to be a prize git…one of those sort of prize git’s that we end up rescuing like Samtoo….

Well today he in ‘git mode’ he sure is… ::) ami is possibly coming into one of her ‘blinds’  :boooo: I been away and he has had ‘his’ success; with Mo…she had other stuff to deal with….

It feed time…they eat the bones…they then got cottage cheese…ami got hers (long stopped expecting lado and ami to share…she just does awww you want mine sweetie   :-* :-* …crap ) Cubert got his and as ever the luck dragon got his last….yeahhhh right….Cubert went to do his F U Mate…just as he did that day with Sam..he was real serious…7 months old and real attitude…the full works  >:D >:D….but I was ready and in control because I knew what he been like with Mo….and so I cued him on a ‘don’t even think about it you wee git..’ no that isn’t the cue but you get the idea  :yes:  I then did the leave…I then did the hold it…I then did the stand off at 3ft and then at 6ft and then at 9ft…I then did it again as a series …I then did it introducing the chain cue we been sort of working with…no rewards in between….and he was hyped…he seriously hyped in a way ami never ever has been…he did a brose…he did the am doing am doing yeah am doing just tell me when I can kill him… >:D >:D ( he was shaking with the adrenalin) but he did it…my baby boy held those cues…7 months…bless him….brose was about 11 when I got it at this level and criteria with her…and just as importantly….falkor…the big wuss… that is always at the bottom of the pack …he understood…he knew he could carry on eating …and that is real important…that means he knew Cubert was no longer a threat because he was under a sustained cue…

It a long post…tried to give detail…hope you understand all or some of it…me  😀

Am off to celebrate and do nahnahnanahna at my dad….i know what he will say of course…..but I feel good……better than i have felt for weeks  🙂
