MemberThere have been various updates throughout the week – this is what happened:
Owner traced and apparently she is a Racer – the vet didn’t believe this from her build. The owner was traced and was not interested in helping her due to the cost of treatment. The vet agreed to waive the emergency treatment, but it will cost £200-300 to have her stitched up. The vet contacted her Legal Team as they only had a verbal agreement saying “don’t want her back” from the owners – they had nothing signed, so maybe PTS.
The dog warden agreed to sign her over on the 30 day agreement that the Council can do just in case after treatment the owners come forward. So then they needed to find a rescue willing to take her on with this agreement in place. Delighted to say that various offers from rescue came forward for her including ourselves.
We were please to hear that she is doing fine and has now gone into safe hands with a Grey Hound Rescue. Vets also spoke with the original owners who agreed to sign her over. Sung her praises and couldn’t afford the vet care that she needed and may well need.
Her name is Lucy and Grey Hound Life Line have taken her into rescue. No pictures until her injuries have healed and she can’t go to a new home until July. But she’s in very safe hands now at least.
