Guestquote :I try to remember to load the washing machine before I go to bed so it is using the cheap rate electricity overnight and if i’m being really efficient I will cook a casserole overnight in the slow cooker. Last one doesn’t happen that often Grinonly if you are on economy 7 – most rates are same day and night now (are you showing your age!!??)
i have one – turn off electric garage door opener (incase u think i am dead posh – we have a 3 bed semi ok !!)

Memberso does a water meter work in a similare way to an electric key meter?
July 15, 2008 at 9:18 pm #108700*Nat*
MemberYou just pay for what you use and for the waste too! Not on a key, just a normal meter which counts how much you use 🙂

Memberso these things are minature fluorescents (SP?) then? which is reduculous as they are a huge contamination risk which is why you have to now leagally have them removed from your business due to the very high mercury content…so how are these bulds actually eco friendly?
July 16, 2008 at 7:53 am #108705Anonymous
Guestyes they are, bent round into bizarre shapes so that the tube is long enough and the “bulb” is a sensible size 😉
incidentally – if you click the link today there are some interesting “sideline” stories to the right hand side too !!
