    Angiostrongylus vasorum is found in right side of heart and pulmonary artery.  Clinical signs cough and breathing difficulties.

    Oslerus osleri lives in trachea; clinical signs as above.

    Crensosoma vulpis lives in airways clinical signs similar to kennel cough

    No one wormer will deal with all three, treatment depends on accurate diagnosis.

    Vectored via infected faeces, slugs, snails, frogs, foxex and even direct licking of each other.

    There is no preventative apart from preventing dogs eating faeces, snails, slugs and coming into contact with infected dogs/foxes

    Advocate is a heartworm preventative, but with lungworm it is just a treatment
    From the Bayer site
       * heartworm prevention
       * flea and lice treatment and prevention of flea infestations. The product can be also used as part of a treatment strategy for FAD (Flea Allergy Dermatitis)
       * gastrointestinal worm control including several larval stages
       * treatment of lungworms in dogs (Angiostrongylus vasorum)
       * control of ear mites in cats and dogs
       * control of sarcoptic mange in dogs
       * control of Demodex mites in dogs

    Advocate® eliminates angiostrongylosis caused by Angiostrongylus
    vasorum. French heartworm is an increasing problem worldwide and
    hard to diagnose.
    Advocate® ensures control of the biting louse (Trichodectes canis).
