MemberMy friend is beside herself. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Her 3 year old boxer was fixed (as he had an undescended testicle)
Ever since she brought him home (about a year ago) he has been incontinent with urine.
He has been on testosterone for treatment but nipped a kid while out. (which is not usual behaviour)
The vet is now recommending to put him down.
Surely there is a better option.
Any suggestions Please ????????August 4, 2009 at 8:03 pm #87242Val

MemberThats what we are thinking but she took him to a new vet and I guess did not want to get involved in judging another vets work. We are both from the uk living in Canada. Do you think surgery could fix it? She is not sure where else to get advice.

Memberit would depend on what has been nicked, if she doesn’t ask for fear of standing on a vets toes she is very silly she pays the bills, they have stuffed him with hormones to no avail so time to ask questions and get him trained no dog for whatever reason should be nipping anyone

MemberTo the detriment of the dog :nono: he should be looking if not find another vet, if this vet doesn’t want to check out the dog properly then she needs to tell him who is paying the bills she has not asked for a report on the first vet just that they find out what is wrong with the dog and never mind who’s fault
