GuestWhat type of allergy does your son have,my daughter has asthma and all dogs she came into contact with would make her chest wheez and breathless, but she is fine with my breed, also read somewhere that Shnauzers are good for allergies cannot remember where I read it though,Bichons are also hypoallergenic

Guestpoodles are very good for people with allergies – id avoid the labradoodle like the plauge if i were you because i have never met one who doesnt moult like crazy – and i also know of a few people who got one due to the kids allergies and the pups found themselves either in rescue or back at the breeders as the kids were still allergic. If your son is allergic to a labrador you really should avoid it – its part labrador afterall and if it gets a lab type coat you will be in trouble
But yes bichons are good too – but you have to think of the grooming 🙂

MemberI’d recommend a poodle too (not that I’m biased I only have 3 minis!). I’m actually alergic to Bichons!. Someone mentioned that the Boxer/corgi cross was recognised by the KC. That is incorrect, they were actually added to the Boxer breed register. They are now accepted as purebred Boxers. The point of that exercise was to introduce the bob tail gene to a docked breed for when the docking ban comes in.
