natural diet and witchywooo folk … help with seizures

What diet / supplements / treatments etc etc ….. are out there for a dog having seizures please ?

don’t know re diet, but scullcap and valerian is meant to help… avoid EPO that can exacerbate them…

not sure Claire guess it would depend why the dog was seizuring……groom a border who suffers, food exacerbates it cant remember what makes it worse though…sorry  :-\

Strange that this question should come up here, as it’s just come up on another list I’m on.  We put a boxer on to a natural diet years ago (which included porridge oats) and within three months he had gone from a dog which had grand mal seizures about three/four times a week to petit mal just a couple of times a month.  Was it the diet?  I obviously can’t say for sure…..but it’s certainly worth a try.  If you want me to put it on here, I will.

that’s the scullcap and valerian – but technically it’s not witchywoo cos it’s licensed veterinary medicine but an over the counter one.  😀 can prob get cheaper stuff in other places tho.  :-\

thank you Val, thats great will get contacting 😀  its not certain this girl has epilepsy yet as she’s only had a few seizures but i am keen to minimise them as i read about “seizure memory” as in the more you have = the more you’ll get.
