Guesti have been a dog owner for years and i have had a few close calls with nasty dogs but last year i was walking home with farrokh when out of the blue came a greyhound type dog it flew at farrokh who was walking next to me on a lead i wanted to kill him so i blew my whistle hard it backed off only to come back at us when all of a sudden two loud fireworks went off a the dog ran off thank god on the sunday i was reading a booklet that was in my paper and saw a dog repeller a humane gadget to stop nasty dogs getting to close and i an pleased to say i have only used it twice but now i know if it was to happen again my farrokh would be safe and i stress i only use it as a last resort as i never blame the dogs

[/quote]no i as you point the gadget at the other dog its a strobe light it wont hurt the dog it just keeps it away from your dog as i would not use anything that would hurt any dog as i blame the owners one lunch time we went across the field on the way to the heath and my cat thomas was on the field saying hello to farrokh when i saw a dog it saw my cat and was coming at him not sure what the dog would do i got out my gadget and it stopped and went back to his owner in a ideal world i would never have to use it now i know i can stop a dog i relax more when i take farrokh out it is better for him as you know stress goes down the lead it all so has a torch on itMay 5, 2009 at 6:15 pm #72966Anonymous

[/quote it works on dogs but not on husbands the best thing is if the owner or the other dog turns around and walks away he cant hear it or see it witch is good as a lot of poor owners blame your dog but i only use it as a last resort as i would like to buy a poor owner gadget any ideas -
