poorly bottom

some advice please,

Gracie yesterday eve started licking at base of tail around bottom, had a look and it was abit mucky so cleaned it. abit later she licking again, so had a look same again abit mucky its like black, doesnt seem to smell not sure if it blood?

OH the one who been looking he said poo dark but not black,
but i had a look a bottom this morn it mucky againn, tried to wipe to see if poo or blood, i dont know its black not smelly, but one half of the anus looks swollen not sure but dont think it anal glands as there no puitrid smell.

she seems ok in herself, but doesnt like me prodding(who would tho) but not yelping or trying to get away in pain.

so vets today? or ok to wait til tomorrow, can try and get a pic when hubby comes in, of swollen area.

Possible it’s her glands I would have to feel to tell, Vets in the morning will do no panic

this morning when she got up it was leaking a blood stained discharge,
been to the vets this morn, it was or is rather, an abcess in the anal gland – so clean twice a day with cold boiled water and got some anti biotics and back in a week.  🙂

Aw, poor gracie, not nice!  My Meg had one once, came home one day to find it had burst all over the floor! yuk!  She was relieved though!  😀

ouch tell her Honey sympathises she had a HUGE one a while back – was really quite disgusting and she was a total drama queen about it  😛 ask Val i was emailing her daily cos the little cow wouldnt let me clean it – and as heartless as i can be i couldnt stomach her screams – thankfully Val said i didnt have to worry and it cleared up fairly quick – most disgusting thing shes ever had wrong with her  :-X

it burst now is is weeping away, she cleaning it and so are we, she not not been too bad with it, just shoots of the sofa every now and then as if she been bitten, its just the stuff leaking, mind bless must feel awful!
