Memberwell done laura…angiostrongylus vasorum…confusing as it known as french heartworm but it the one that is on the increase and natural worming has no effect….my sister’s wee rescued cocker…5 years old…an ex ireland abused stud that she rescued because she felt so sorry for him…this is the sis that more like mam has always gone for the herders….died of this earlier in the year…vets failed to pick it up…he was a sweet wee boy and she had to put hours and hours into him to get him to just live in a house and be loved without stress…needed so much vet treatment…and bear in mind in our family we dont do vets lightly…poor wee abused boy….and he has sired so many pups…so sad…

MemberVery sad, poor boyo 🙁 never seen a confirmed cases but apparently there was one near our vets in north Tyneside. Scary thought.the vets I’m at now recommend using advocate instead of the flea treat meants like frontline as it’s the only treatment licensed to kill and prevent Lungworm.

MemberTrue which is what mine all do too but was told it can be found In the slug/snail trail so the dog could be at risk if a slug was to crawl over their toy ect
