MemberFirst things first…………. No NOT yet. But perhaps possible in future. In few years, who knows…..
quote :look at all those hours of pleasure you are denying her …all that grooming…. a pretty baby girlie for your pretty baby girl….stop being so obstinate and anyway…she will think you just the best daddy in the whole wide world …. ;DWhoever wrote this obviously found out how to handle me ::) . (yeah i mean you, you who is reading this with a big grin on face, probably like this;
. But you also know i’m a ‘planner’ and plan things way upfront, so it might take another 5 years befor it (what ever it going to be) arrives :tease: )
Anyways……. The sheltie. Not so small, yet lot smaller than my boys. Long haired, lot of energy, need lot of hairmaintenance, etc etc.
BUT;
-can it herd somewhat?
-does it like retrieving games?
-how is it with moving objects, does it like to chase?
-does it like his own voice?
-is it easy to train?
-how is his will to please, is it like shepherds?
-are there still shelties around that work?
-how protective is it towards his familychildren?
-how pure is the breed still? Does the majority of shelties still look the same with the same temperament, or are there many differences?
-how high is their energy? do they become destructive or wine when they don’t get enough exercise?
-do they bond intense? and not like to be left alone? Or are they not so stickersticky?
-is it picky when it comes to food?
– does it have any taste for guarding his territory? If so on scale of 1 to 10 howmuch would you give it?
-is it happy to share master’s attention or more mememememe?
-howmuch does sheltiemale weigh?
-if you got a sheltie, do you regularly step on them?
-would it eat food it not likes but eat it anyway just because you’ve eaten it too?
-when it is freightened by something, does it seek refuge with you? Or where does he go?
-does it have a strong natural guarding sence towards what he thinks is his ‘personal’ stuff like toys, bed, etc?
-does it like water, showers, baths, rain, mudd?
-does it have the same energy indoors as outdoors, or is it more calm in the house than outside?
-when is it grown up mentaly, by what age?
-is it curious to everything you do?
-how is it with strangers? Everybodies friend or has it more reserved nature?
-does it forget easilier or is it more a ‘once f.cked up, always f.cked up’ dog with a loooooooong memory?
-does it like control over others, or is it more of a teamplayer?(lots of question :embarrass: )

June 18, 2009 at 4:17 pm #73321.dodger.
Memberyup diesel i have to agree get the pup while she is still young and happy – don’t wait till the terrible teens kick in ::) I always thought dodger was bi-polar the amount of mood swings he went through but looking back now all the boy was doing was behaving in relation to my moods :embarrass:
My only problem is why does your girl want a small and sassy pooch when she can have a handsome, striking and loyal shepherd by her side ;D ;D ;D
