Oowkayyyy  ….. she’s got a list ‘for now’ and she has stuck it to wall incase she comes up with new ‘got to be’s’ ….

I can’t make any sence out of it  ::) . So if you guys can help and disect her brain to find out what ever she thinks she wants, i would be most grateful  .

    (her words)

    quote :

1st…..decide how much time YOU have to spare for care…as in grooming and training

When not at school and not doing homework than i got all the time. Grooming is for sundays in the summer and every cold day or rainy day when we are in the house and when i am not grooming Wodan. And training…….. (what’s training?…so and so) Ah, uhm  ::) …. papa always does that, he always says what and when.

    quote :

2nd…..ask daddy and mammy how much time they have over and above that to help teach you any extra bits you need to do

Mama says you want one, you will have to do most of the work and NOT until Wodan has left us. papa …. papa loves dogs  😀 . As long as puppy is a boy and i know what i want. I think he just scared he going to step on it or break it or something.

    quote :

3rd…..remember puppies dont stay puppyies for long ….so decide what size the end dog is that you like best…not what size puppy is

Small dogs come in even smaller puppies than big dogs do?  :surprise:
*thinkthink*……. (papa how old was Dies in that picture?) When diesel was 5 months old, that small. (sweetie, that is bigger than Eric’s little shizu mix…) *thinkthink*…. when diesel was like that i could still pick him up. That small enough. And Eric’s dog does not like walks (that’s because it way to fat…) Oh…uhm… What’s Robbie’s dog? (a cocker). I like that doggie too. It just barks to much and it hurts my ears  :-\ .

    quote :

4th…..think that you will have this dog for a loooonnngggggg time….until you are all grown up so whatever you decide to do while you are growing too has to be considered….

If i move out of the house than puppy is going to move with me and…… (what if  your future prince doesn’t like puppy?….) Than he not much of a prince is he  >:( . Mine will love dogs and…( and if he does not?) Than he can not move into MY house  ;D . (the puppy or your prince?) The prince ofcourse  ::) .

    quote :

5th…..if you get stuck with stuff….then dont be worried about asking grown ups for help….they may say odd stuff like ‘i told you so’ or ‘it is your dog what do you think’….smile and say ok…but think ooookkkkherewego….while listening to what they say…

Hahaha  😀 …. no with papa….. He will say ‘my’ dog  ::) ……. YES YOU WILL  >:( . It wère Brice’s fish, now their ‘your’ fish. I had 2 baby turkeys, now they are ‘your’ baby turkeys. Diesel was ‘ours’ mine and brice’s and mams. But you always says ‘my’ dog. Now Wodan is mine…. and mams  ;D .
But….. what was the question  ??? . Oh yes, …… but papa you always says what to do. Yes you do  ::) , feed Wodan this and how much of that and let him out after feeding him or when he wakes up after his sleep and I KNOW ALL THAT ALREADY  >:( !
. Even when i groom him you keep saying be care full not to hurt him. I KNOW ALL THAT. I know how to groom him without you, i do it many times. And i know what to feed him, and he says when he wants to go out……. I just can not pick him up and put him on my bed, and you always hold the end of his lead so he can’t pull me over if whatever happens. I want a dog i can hold on the lead without you holding it too. ………..
And i want a dog to great me first not you. And i want it sit up nice when i ask it to without the puppy looking at you if it has to sit. Yes they do, they always look at you first………… And i want a doggie that goes searching for nests with me and not you. (bits and pieces of her whole rant, cause brother if she had a gun i’m sure she would have shot me  😛 )

Now, she has a list of breeds picked by the pictures in ‘HER’ book. We made it shorter and shorter because she started with about a 154 breeds  ::) . These are the ones she hasn’t decided about yet. She picked them just by sight, not by size or weight, cause every dog the same size in this book.

Irish wolfhound cause Bo has got 2, and they are like dino’s and they love grooming.
Schipperke (Belgian breed) because they are wodan in ‘just the right’ size and it looks like a mini wolf and soooooo cute. And it a ‘jobdog’ so i can teach it to herd. http://images.google.be/images?hl=nl&q=schipperke%20hond%20&um=1&ie=UTF-8&sa=N&tab=wi
Maltezer because it is so beautiful. But one like on the picture, with long hair and a bow. Not like the one we saw the other day with no hair. (maltezer was shaved  😉 )
Afgan winddog because it looks so princesslike but i think it is big.
Pekingees because they look soooo sweet. And they are chinese and i love everything chinees.
English cocker spaniel because i like the way he looks and he has a prettier face than the american one.
Clumber spaniel because it looks like a Basset with longer hair and longer legs and he smiles funny. (  ??? )
Alaskan malamute because it looks like a wolf.
Husky because it looks like a wolf.
Rough Collie because it is sooooooooo soooooo pretty and it looks like a longhaired wolf and more like a girl than Wodan and Diesel. (sorry Lassie  :-* )
Keeshond because it looks like a small wolf and like those 2 mini wodans in the village. (That doggies are  shelties)
Newfoundlander because they are big cuddle teddy bears.
Whippet because it looks so sad and it unhappy and i will make him happy.
Terveurener (  :ugly:  ) because…. i love Wodan and Diesel.
Sheltie because it looks like a mini wolf and it got lots of hair and it sooooooo pretty.

…….. my brain says; she wants a small long haired wolf  ???

i think you need to to go to a discover dogs with her so she can see them all in the flesh….

what does she think about slobber and drool…. ;D

think there might be a bit of a problem picking up a newfie…but it sure would keep her quiet all day on summer sundays and winter evenings  😀 😀

I am going to put a breed up for  the princess to have a look at a Lhasa Apso, they are small enough but full of go lovely temperment, really happy jolly little dogs, one would get on well with your boys, and you won’t stand on it Diesel as they are too quick very healthy long lived dogs need to check eye tests but thats all.
Look the breed up they are real girlie dogs, she will be able to walk it herself and they are very loyal but Chinesey well Tibet really they are a sacred kept by the Tibetan monks

1 big vodka-coke and pack of sig  ::) …. kept me sane. I know my pre-medication when i’m about to get myself into an argue with one of my women. It’s when they team up that’s more dangerous  😛 .

    Wise? Wisenose yes  😛  😀 .
About the wolf types…. I’m not sure. Few weeks ago we went to a zoo where they got the white wolfs. I got a picture somewhere when it was staring at Wodan as Diesel when we went there the previous time…. The wolves, hyenas, dingos and so such makes an impression on the kids everytime. Because ‘dogs do not belong in a zoo’.
It true though, she might have picked it up from me. I always go how pretty i find the boys look outside when the wind blows through their hair and look like pretty black wolfies.

She not particularly fond of drool, but she lurves wet doggiekisses  😉 .

I think she on one hand want a dog to spoil for herself and on the other a small wolfie to prove she can do what i can do to her brother. I think she is sick of hearing ‘when you are bigger and stronger’.
Of all the dogs we have seen in the time that has passed she likes all dogs. Boy or girl, long hair or short. But her ‘aaaahhh and ooooowwws and cuuuuutes’ are reserved for the longhaired specimens. Big or small don’t even matter, but if it ‘i can pick up size’ than she’s specially interested.

I’m going to find out when the next dogshow is and take her there . That was good thinking Bev  :-* .

I agree with Val – think a lhasa would fit in just right with your pack – plenty of hair for her to groom – but not so fragile as a maltese which you really COULD tred on  ;D

Will have to wait until next dogshow to see a real one in motion. None of the ones here that are suppost to be carying the title of Lhapso Apso looks like the doggies i find on the internet  >:( . On the internet they are not thàt very small and they got long hair. The only ones we see for real here have semi curls, are tinytiny with strange hairdo’s and weird teeth  ??? .

Something interesting happend this week. My father inlaw offered her the oppertunity to take home his little cockergirl. (just to see how she would respond) She said…. no  :surprise: . To my utter surprice she said ‘no’. She gets along with it very well, and i thought she  would grab this offer with both hands, even though my fatherinlaw would never really have let her go but…….When we went home i asked her why she said no and she said ‘no good, is not what i want. She hates grooming, she even bites the groomer, she does not like to have her ears checked, she no herder but hunter and she killed the neighbour’s chicken. I like her, but i don’t want her.’
So  ::) ….. she IS giving it some thought, or atleast a lot more than i thought and i’m happy to see she knows i am not going to get myself into ‘ pupshopping just because we want something doglike’. Or WE
, we are not going to do any pupshopping just to get anotherone  😉 .

I will have to do with the website for now. It would take me 29 hours to drive there. And 29 hours to get back, if there are no traffice jams  😉 .

Have to say……..-although i have to admit i never payed much attention  :-[ – ……. but they do look vèry different than the ones i seen here in the village. There is a pic on their website (the showpics) where he’s with the Lhasa on the right and a cocker on the left. The Lhasa not that much smaller than the cocker. But like i said, the ones we seen for real sofar (when i asked what i was) look nothing like these do.

Over here LA are 11 inches tall they are smaller than a cocker.
You could always phone and find out the breeders nearer, she sure to know as the world of showdogs is small
