I noticed last night that Millie’s eye looked swollen, so bathed it and a grass seed appeared.  This morning it’s still a bit swollen, is there anything else I can do apart from bathing or is it a trip to the vets?

    Thanks  🙂

Horrible grass seeds, they can be a nightmare! Is it possible there’s another one in there?  :-\

Could be possible, the grass is really long at the nature reserve we normally walk at and Millie does run a hundred miles an hour through the grass  🙂  She’s not rubbing it and it doesn’t seem to be causing any discomfort, will see what its like when I come home from work at lunchtime.

    Thanks

Boil some water, let it cool down, then get a big piece of cotton wool and soak it well then put it in her eye, you may get water running down her nasel passage but thats good, it means there is no grass seed in the tear duct. Had to do this with Piper a while ago when her eye was swollen  🙂 Hope Millie’s ok  :-*

if you take to vets they will give eye wash – so choice is do it at home regular until it looks better and isnt bothering her – or take to vets and pay for him to do it.

I’d go boil the kettle  ;D

dont worry about them either – I took nine out of Nacho over the weekend when he decided to run too fast down a hill and ended up doing a roly poly through all the tick ridden countryside  ::)
