MemberESSW need to put three dogs into foster care today, due to hospitilisation these dogs need foster care for approximately a week and we would rather they were in and around the Southampton area to make things easier for collection of the dogs and return to owner. These dogs are currently home alone.
We are anticipating foster care will only be needed for approximately a week at the most but if you estimate having them for a little longer just in case. The dogs details are 2 males unneutered used to children, gets on well with other dogs, loves playing ball although we ask you because it is such a small foster period exercise on a flexi lead might be better, they all currently sleep in the owner’s bedroom.
1 female approx 6 years old, spayed, older dog aware children only, gets on well with other dogs but may rush them and bark at them if off lead.
I cannot express enough that these dogs only need foster care for a short period due to severe illness the owner was rushed into hospital, there return to owner is definite and we estimate foster care is needed for only about a week, the dogs will be fostered with an ESSW foster contract and ESSW back up and support.

MemberShe is ok, her OH isnt – he is intensive care after suffering a massive brain haemaerrage (sp?) It is not looking good for him, he was on a ventilator, and is being taken off it today, if he survives the docs think he will be in a permanent vegetative state but the doctors think he may not survive.
The dogs have now been sorted with Foster homes for the next week.

There hasnt been any change since this morning, the doc are going to reassess Tony tomorrow morning to test for any brain activity, if not he slip away. :'(
Ali has Tony’s sons with her and some other members of family, the dogs are now sorted thanks to ESSW and a close friend, the youngsters are with neighbours at the moment being looked after.
