I am so SO pleased he is improving, Diesel. It’s the best news! :ok: am away from home but checking throughout each day to see how the big man is doing. Keeping you in my thoughts and praying for more improvements over the coming days  :yes:  :-*  :-*

Oh my gosh Diesel, I just read it… Poor Wodan!!!
I’m glad he seems to get better. I wonder if his eyesight has indeed gotten worse and if it’ll recover later on.
These things shouldn’t happen to ANY dog, EVER….

It must have been a shocking experience for you and the whole family… *hugs tight*

I know, i been quiet for a while  🙁 . Didn’t get around to it to mail it to you  :-* .

Well, my Wodan……..  ;D You were right Bev  :-* , he did fine, just fine. Accept from salami and babycowmeat… he wouldn’t take his meds until she hid it in pieces of paté  ::) .And if mister wants attention we shiver real hard. That makes her pet him all day and crush his head against her XL size yet very soft and confortable chest  ::) . He been taking advantage  :yes: .

Only thing which i would like to improve is that if he is laying down or just wakes up he pees where he is laying down. That i have to rince him everyday is no big deal but his bed is now replaced by a new one. And got a nother spare one at hand already. (curtousy of mother in lawv 😉 ).

yes nat, he is  :-* . That’s why i was so falling out of the sky when the vet wanted to give him up  :'( .

Anyways, like Bev said (and she never seems to be wrong does she?  :-* )….. no news with me means good news hahaha. Which might come true as the pc i am on now is my inlawses. Mine broke down.  ::) Hope it fixed soon.

I hope so too Mudge. I know there are going to be days he not going to be this good. But i ……. ok  🙁 …. i always have been a planner, and i set a timeframe on it.
If one day he going to be without geste of life for 2 weeks, and says ‘let me go’, than that the time. But not yet, not yet  😉 .

And Bev? I had a real good chat with my little girl this weekend. There was joy and there were tears. She knows now what she wants, and she knows what she wants to do with it. She even got a name for him when he comes. But she herself wants to wait cause now wodan ‘needs her time’ (as she said it). The name Bev, the name…… that would be mine. Thàt would be my first pic. When i told her where that name comes from she was over the moon. Said that would be the best tribute to wodan ever.
My son does not agree. He wants a new wodan. He can’t deal with it  :-\ .

This boy, my Wodan, has tought my kids but specially my little girl so much, and he still does. He was around befor she was born, he was a weddingpresent from my sunshine to me. He is my kids’ ‘constant’, as we say. My son kept saying he wants a puppy wodan, cause he didn’t get at the time with wodan as my daughter did…….
how i wish i could make that happen.

Guess what Wodan done yesterday?

Strang cock back again  >:( . Wodan got up instantly and wanted to come too when i putted on my ‘let’s go to war’ face. But i thought, too much excitement might not be good for him so….Took Dies with me to hunt it down. Dies still got a lot to learn  ::) . He ain’t got ‘the eye’ yet. When stranger hid in the bushes or high grass, Diesel chased them out. All of them, including hunting down our own  😛 . I wanted him to chase it into the nearest barn, that way it easier to catch it as it is in a limited space.
Wodan was crying at the gate, he clearly wanted ininin. So i told sunshine to let him in, and we would see how he did. But…… Hunting it down was a problem. Speed is no longer his friend. But he told Diesel ‘something’ and Diesel kept chasing it into the bushes, which was the wrong direction  ??? .

Than Wodan crept into the bushes, picked the one out we wanted to get and chased it to Diesel who was waiting between the bushes and the barn. Normally, getting in between the bird ànd the place it got to go is a  :nono: . But Wodan kept telling him ‘something’ no matter what i said to Dies. And Dies kept doing what big bro told him. Second attempt… Wodan back into the bushes, wobblywobbly, kept having his feet stuck in the bushes but… chased it out again to Diesel who was awaiting for it quietly and still, and…….. Diesel cought it and took it to the barn  ;D .

Wodan…… he knew the best way, he knew :-* . He was knackered after, but he was sooo proud of himselfy. And so am i, so am i  :yes: .

not much wrong with wodans brain then  🙂  see….he might be getting on and he might not be 100% healthwise…but he still has a purpose in life…even in his dotage  :ok:

falkor….last year …keeping an eye on a sick sam ….making sure pup doesnt hurt or get to much…..now he has yet another lease of life looking after ted…he was a nurse in a past life haha….

bless the oldies…they find their own way to carry on ‘doing’
