Yes. Local from where i’m born, tradition used to be (for boys) 1 middle name is name of godfather, 1 is name from grandfather, and 1 name is godmother’s name. My grandmother was my godmother. So i got that name from her. It’s a tradition that flow out of when you get christened as a baby. So where i’m from, most boys (of my generation and the ones befor me) have 1 girlsname and most girls have 1 boysname.
It’s one of those ‘fading’ traditions now. Soon i think it will excist no more. Lucky kids these days 😉

I always laugh when they ask me how we came up with my daughter’s name. It means ‘made in Brittain’. When i read it, i said to wife; ‘that’s it! That’s going to be her name!’
We both liked the name right away anyway……….And it’s true bwahahaha 😀 .
