Yup, very much :-* . Holly…. i like those colours on that doggy very much, even though minpin comes in microversion, cause…. damne they are SMALL 😮 .
Holly says she may be small of stature but she’s big of heart and soul ;D

I uh…. ::) You know, i’m not a small dog person. And sertainly not a short hair person. So if i ever, when i’m old, grey or bald, wrinkled and without the use of my legs should ever choos a small dog it would be one with long hair. But Holly…. Something special. I really like the way that little doggie looks 😉 .October 3, 2008 at 8:18 pm #69550SuzAndTheDiva

Bwahahaha 😀 , therrrrre’s Suzie! Hahaha. One day, one day i’ll be to old to wander around the forrest with big boys. I’m just not getting past the ‘girl’ part. With 2 women in my house against me and my son….. ::) Pffff, i rrrrrealy detest the idea of walking a small-ur dog with a boy in her hair. Knowing my females……… 🙁 lots of bows, ribbons and ……….. :vomit: pink .
no, if ‘one day’ comes around, it going to be a tough little furball dude :yes: .October 3, 2008 at 9:06 pm #69552SuzAndTheDiva

MemberYou don’t know my wife like i do ::) . On our shelf we now got Val’s grooming spray in different variations. They say…….have to go and see….;
-Val’s grooming spray original
-Val’s g.s. patchouli
-Val’s g.s. bulgarian rose
-Val’s g.s. jasmineThe ‘original’ version’ is for when it is tickseason. The others just because they are damne expensive :hurt: ….
Not a fat chance in hell that my woman is not going to buy little doggy as many bows as in the colours that they come :sleepy: .October 4, 2008 at 8:24 pm #69554Prem2Pram

Well…….. that’s the point Min. I can name a 100 shorthaired dogs i like, but none of them fit in my ‘i would want one’ box. I specially love the way the wind playes through the long hair when storms are comming. But Holly….. she got something that makes me forget she don’t have hair to wave in the wind. Can’t put finger on it…. I just like her very much, her colours, how her coat shines in the sun, her face, the expression in her eyes, her big ears…..i like it all. 😉Friend of mine got a 10 week old mix minpin x Jack russel. A little girl. Saw her today. But she doesn’t even come close to Holly. She don’t have that ‘thing’ that Holly does for me. :-\
Only thing is, i enjoy brushing doggyhair. I enjoy to see how much my boys love and enjoy being brushed themselves. I really detest people that have their dog shaved of cut short just because they to lazy to take care of their dog as they should. Makes me want to grab a pair of sheepclippers and cut their own head ::) .
So a shorthaired doggy would …. put me out of my beloved comb and brushjob :confused: . But i thinks me could find some way to fill that in with something else ::) 😀 .October 5, 2008 at 7:37 am #69556Prem2Pram
Diesel both Harry and Holly enjoy a good brushing as it gets rid of any dead or loose hairs, ok they don’t take as much brushing as long haired dogs but they enjoy it just the same and it does help their coats stay nice and shiney.

MemberKeep in mind i never had a shorthaired dog, (except for a Doby when i was very little) so…….
Didn’t know that. Didn’t know you can/have to brush shorthaired dogs too ::) . Always thought it like when you shave your head. No knots in hair, no need to brush or comb it 😉 .

MemberDiesel not only do minpins need brushing but because they are so light on their feet they need their nails filing twice a week to keep them nice and short but also to stop their feet splaying. So you see they are not as low maintenance as people might think.
