I have to put him on lead as everytime he heard “go” he was going through the tunnel  ::)

When it is not his turn I face him towards me and chat to him and treat him so he isnt distracted  😉

We keep doggies on leads when it is not their turn  ;D  My pooch does not do leads – well he does now but not by choice  😉  he sits remarkably well when it is not his turn and has not misbehaved very much at all.

I get more embarrased that he is so enthusiastic and charges around the course  ::)  When I am calm he is calm so you need to relax a bit more.

Take some good quality treats – his favourite kind – favourite toy – keep his focus on them if he doesnt focus well on you.  You will love it and the obedience class will give you loads more confidence and better management.

Be assured no matter what doggie does – they will most undoubtedly have seen it before  ;D

He is squealing/crying as he recognises that this is what you do when you go out.  You need to use same technique but you could probably put the trainers on and keep them on walking about house for an hour or so.  do that for a few days until he realises that everytime you put them on you are not going out  ;D  Pick up keys put them down  ;D  Everytime you pick them up it doesnt mean you are going out.  😉

Mine used to be like that they know now that when they are coming too then the leads are brought in from porch.  Their bums hit the floor like magnets  ;D  If they dont sit nice then the leads dont go on  ;D  If they dont wait nice at door then leads come back off  ;D  Pain in the neck for a few days until they catch on but once they catch on then they know the rules and what to do to get their reward  ;D  THE WALK  ;D

He is like no other dog I have met – very special – but then I am sure we all feel the same about our pooches.   ;D  We are very in tune with each other.  I know when the slightest thing is wrong with him – see stuff that others in household dont.  He is same with me – when I am unwell or even with just a headache he senses it and looks out for me.  ;D  I can honestly say I totally adore him even when he is being a minx  ;D

He was tired this morning – had to lure him out of bed for a walk – as soon as we were back he was back on bed all snuggled up  ;D

Bless him sounds like you both have great fun – perhaps this is my next venture  ;D 😀 😉

You would love it – honestly it is great fun.

We all seem to be picking it up – trainer takes it real slow with us all – step by step – explains why we are doing what we are doing – what dog expects – what we need to do.

She is great – going to take BB to her obedience class and she does clicker class too  ;D  She asked the other girl in class to try to refrain from clicking her fingers as she noticed that Nacho was looking confused as to what he was getting clicked for then looking for reward  ::)

Week 3 and progressing nicely  ;D

Only two pooches this week.  Buddy’s mum (JRT) has pulled a ligament so wasnt able to come so achieved lots this week.  🙂

Now sequencing hurdle, A frame, tunnel, 3 hurdles.  Nacho looks like Bambi on the A Frame  ;D  and like skippy jumping the hurdles – he was so fast it was scary.  ;D  Loads of control around course and he stayed by me all the time waiting on direction.  When it got to the last hurdles he was like a rabbit out of the trap  ;D  Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee  ;D

Had a great time – he now snoozing on bed – off to join him soon  ;D

    2nd week at Agility.

Now moved onto some chaining – two lots of hurdles, through the tunnel, another hurdle  ;D  He is so good at it.  Show him once and off he goes.  Learnt loads tonight about my tone and body language and how mudge it makes a difference.

Nacho is loving it.  Very focussed.  Trainer said “you have something very special there” – so chuffed  ;D  :-*

Was chucking it down with rain and still loved it.  Everyone doing well.  ;D
