i knew Border Collies came in a variety of colours but i didnt realise the extent of the range, they are beautifull. and i never thought they came in black and tan aswell ;D

yep – and as you see they also come in red + tan (called choc by some)

My friend has a gold and white Border Collie!

there were two in the litter, male and female, bred by Robert Harlow!

sounds like what is called ‘australian red’ (also called clear sable, milk sable, ee-yellow, ee-red, cream, wheaten, tan and …… gold !!)

the only thing is that all those dogs have white bits on them but the puppy i wanted to know about doesnt have any white on him, so can you get black and an only dogs?

no he is purely black and tan, that why i didnt think he was a collie but the website is fab ;D

i have seen all black collies, whether they come with tp’s will depend on the gene interactions – one to look up i think

Hi,

If he is a full BC he’ll technically be a “tri-colour” with full black spotting coverage (over a white base but you wont see this – or he may literally have 1 light coloured hair somewhere abouts – not easy to spot on a wiggly pup) and just the tri showing above eyes (a common place for it to show anyway).
