my next door neighbour has got a small black annoying thing and every time they chuck it out in the back garden it barks and howls and drives me mad, their back garden is right next to my living room, and it does it in the middle of he night. i have shouted at it a few times.
now every time stan hears that dog bark he gets all arsy and ‘oh my doG mums gonna shout at me’ wich is also annoying because he will mmove and sit right in front of me starring at me ::)
so what can i do? im not the only neighbour that this dog is annoying the heck out of. and is there any way that i can now de-sensitize stan to a problem that i have caused :baby:

May 30, 2009 at 6:14 pm #73197kizkiznobiteMemberif the pack manager is barking….. ๐ย and then if the pack manager has barked before…. ๐
get stans bark on cue…then you get the off switch…then take him around and show them how it’s done…then leave with a big smile on your face
if it a major problem then go have a word with them and if that doesnt work you need the EHO to report it to….
we had the same problem a couple of weeks back….our concern was not the noise but the fact pup was clearly stressed….mo had a word but someone else had already stuck a letter through complaining and it has stopped now….

[/quote]i have already started getting stan to bark on cue i just cant get him to do t without me having his ball in my hand ๐
the owner is a big big bloke so i dont think i will be taking him on ๐ i think i might try putting a letter round, only thing is its a block of flats so may have to post a couple
May 30, 2009 at 6:21 pm #73200kizkiznobiteMemberi meant you shouting…you barked at it so stan now barks at itย ;D
change the reward….so he barking on the cue and not for the ball otherwise you will never move it on….and then you wont get the off switch
get the other neighbours involved…it prob doing their heads in tooMay 30, 2009 at 6:26 pm #73201kerrie and stanMemberstan doesnt bark at it though ๐ he will just sit and stare at me
so how do i move the criteria on? the only thing he realy interested in is his rope ball. we do have speak and hush nearly on comand though, there is ussualy a 2 second delay befor he responds. the hush command has been in place for a long time as he barks at the door
