Over 100,000 dogs are abandoned in the UK each year. Worse still, one of these dogs has to be put down every hour. And all of them need our help.
I’m the community manager for the 2010 UK Pedigree Adoption Drive campaign. Over the last two years the campaign has raised over 1,000,000 GBP to help abandoned dogs in rescue homes around the UK. This year, we’re hoping to raise even more money, and I thought visitors to this forum might be interested in helping.
Pedigree will donate £1 every time someone views the campaign video and 50p for each (UK resident) who visits the We’re for Dogs Facebook page and clicks “Like”.

As well as this online story, we’re also helping to raise awareness of the issue by putting ‘Ghost leads’ around the country. We’ve got photos of some that are in London here http://www.flickr.com/photos/wearefordogs, but you’ll also be able to find them in Birmingham, Bristol, Newcastle and Edinburgh. If you see one, it would be brilliant if you could send me a picture to janet@pedigree.com or upload it to our Facebook page.
You can help simply by spreading the word. Find out more at: http://www.pedigreeadoptiondrive.com
Many thanks,
Janet
