now i know i asked this before – but i had problems. :help:
got £3 worth of liver and spent literally hours cutting it up into tiny cubes… then did something wrong with the cooking of it – thought it was done, put it in boxes – and it all went mouldy and i had to chuck it out. 🙁 cooking really isn’t my thing. :embarrass:
so how do i cook liver to dry it so it is dried liver like the stuff you buy – and is the liver of one species better than another for drying – think i used pig’s liver. :-\ i think i may have done it on too high a heat for not long enough – but i may be wrong. :-\
:help:

Liver is done when dry to touch and has shrunk to approximately 1/4 inch cubes.October 31, 2008 at 8:05 pm #110129*Lassie*MemberLow heat in the oven for a long time or zap it in the microwave for 30 mins or so it is hard as rock and bone dry 😉
you are assuming people (like me 😀 ) have any idea how to cook macaroons. ;D
i got ox liver – was about the only successful bit of the shopping trip – but cost £2.18 not 25p. 😮
Asked about marrow bones – they said they only got 4 a week and someone had already ordered them all. >:( Went to library, to renew books, return books, pay fine and photocopy drs letter. They have closed it this week for staff training :what: so not sure how I renew the books due back tday, and don’t know anywhere else to photocopy stuff so can’t (again)… will just have to send them (again). And the pharmacy didn’t have my prescription stuff. And Dorain has the squits….
Anyway moan over. ;D Sort work letter then consider cooking…..
I was going to do that last time, when I remembered they needed renewing 15 mins after library shut – but I had to register to renew 1st and they won’t let you renew overdue books online – and I’m not sure they will when there’s a fine owing even though they’re not overdue and I think they have to clap eyes physically on the books this time. :-\ Can give it a go though, thanks. 🙂
November 4, 2008 at 2:56 pm #110139GSPmadMemberTried phoning but was put through to council… my library branch’s phone line is down today… 😀 😀 😀 (it is getting to the point of funny) but have renewed online. ;D :ok:
