He and Chewie are getting more fond of each other and will sniff each other’s mouths and lie quite close to each other. Yesterday I came in from the garden to find a dog on each sofa, fast asleep. Caught! They slinked off in unison when they realised they’d been rumbled! Today they had a great run up Boxhill with Steve and have been flat out all afternoon.

I managed to persuade him to play fetch in the garden yesterday. I had to work him into a hyped-up mood first, then we had a great time playing fetch and drop. Then Chewie came to see what all the noise was about and that stopped play. Shame. Hopefully I’ll be able to get Dion in the mood to play fetch whilst on walkies sometime. He loves to play indoors, but never before outside.
