So out dog walking today and into around 30 mins of chucking balls for the dogs one of the lurchers I was walking stops and her legs turn to jelly and looks like she’s gonna collapse. Her front left leg was resting on the outside of her paw rather than the pad while her other legs wobbled and then after a minute makes a full recovery and bouncing about wanting to play. Owner is taking dog to vet tomorow and text earlier when he came home from work that she seems perfectly fine. I’m wondering if she could have over done it in that 30 mins. I know thats very little info..but any comments?
This problem is the result of low blood pressure, meaning that oxygen to the brain is not sufficient. Syncope (Fainting) is not a disease. The dizziness and the fainting spell can be a sign that the dog has an underlying problem Syncope can point to heart disease think this dog needs a heart check and on lead exercise. Val
