This post has only just popped up here I am so sorry I missed the good wishes and nearly missed the whole post.
You cannot wrap dogs up Eshia is paying the price for bad judgment as well I retired her from working the cows at Durlston two years ago as she has a disc problem right between her shoulder blades, dogs will be dogs.
Even the operation for a disc on the top of the spine is not to be taken lightly seen that one done.

thank you – but i just feel like i could and should have done more….  🙁

and while i was waiting to pick dorain up there was a flat coat came in off his back legs – he was obviously in pain – not howling or anything but just quiet crying -and when they wheeled him in on a trolley his face – i know that look with duibh – i don’t understand what’s going on and i am in pain but i am a flat coat so i will put up with it all – and he wagged his tail at them when they were getting him out of the car bless – i was nearly intears, just wanted to go up and hug him… need to pull myself together.  ::)

They are such a lovely breed but so many problems my old vet had then and loved them but they even got to him in the end, they do suffer terrible form bones and cancer.
Lets hope he recovers enough to be pain free

i know i’ve not got results re front legs yet, but re back end… is there anything else i can try… herbal, homeopathic….

There are al lot but IMO you need to see a homeopathic vet to work on the right remedies
Here’s a few
Apis – Urticarial swellings, oedema and fluid in joints will often respond to this remedy
Rhus tox. – This suits most cases of rheumatism and arthritis, that are worse for first movement but limber up.
Ruta – Ligaments, tendons and other fibrous tissues are the main areas of benefit of this remedy
Symphytum – Symphytum treats bone injuries of any type, speeding healing. In cases of bone fracture, Symphytum will speed healing and stimulate a better repair. Non-union fractures will also generally respond.

ok, i had looked at a book i got about natural remedies – and had written down rhus tox 6/12/30c
bellis perennis 30c or > hypericum 12-30c sulphur 6/12/30c ?aconite/gelsemium 30c.

does any of that make any sense or sound right – the rhus tox is down in what you said too – but what strength or potency or whatchamacallit would i need them in – the ones you have mentioned, and the ones i have mnetioned if they seem right – and can i give them all at once?  ???

I would give the rhus tox 30c but a homeopathic vet may give more and for longer or a shorter time you really need to know the dog as you treat the whole animal not just the problem
If you have a book on the subject then it will tell you that it’s the whole animal thats treated
