Eric is a 15 week old English Bull Terrier pup currently in foster in Llanbradach. He may be a cross but difficult to tell!
The Eric Fact File
Dog status: Good, can be boisterous with smaller dogs. He would like a new home where he will have canine company
Cat status: Unknown, may be workable
Child status: Good, can be rehomed with children 8 years plus due to mouthing
Housetraining: Coming along nicely. Clean in the daytime with a good routine
Home alone: Learning to be left for short periods but as he is young will need a home where someone is in for the best part of the day
Basic training: knows sit and has learnt his name. Is responding to the word ‘No’ when he is being a cheeky boy!
Eric is a charming and robust puppy. He has been in foster with other dogs and gets along well with them. he loves rough and tumble play and can be boisterous so care needs to be taken around small dogs. He would like to live with another dog but they would need to be playful, confident and robust, to take the rough and tumble but be willing to put him in his place when needed. We also rehome him as the only dog but he does love to play so this mental and physical stimulation would need to come from elsewhere.
Eric is still firmly in the puppy mouthing phase which means we will not rehome him where there are children under 8 years old. However, his foster carer feels he would love a home with older children to run around and play with.

Eric’s house training is coming along nicely and with a good routine he is clean in the daytime. he is still having some accidents over night. He has been introduced to a crate and sleeps in it at night.

Eric is looking for an experienced new owner who has time to dedicate to training and socialisation. As with all puppies rehomed through Hope Rescue his adopters will need to sign our training agreement and take him to puppy classes. He will also need to be neutered once he is old enough and this will be followed up.

He has already learnt to sit and his new name and is learning to walk nicely on a lead….which he is not mad keen on at the moment!
All Hope Rescue dogs are neutered, vaccinated, wormed, flea treated and microchipped prior to rehoming. A homecheck will be required, and you will need to come and meet the dog with your own dogs and family. Hope Rescue rehomes throughout the UK. A Pre-Home Interest Form can be downloaded from http://www.hoperescue.org.uk and should be returned to dogs@hoperescue.org.uk
