I have a Blue Irish Staff, But Ive Been Told Many Times, there an irish version off the pitbull, so does that make him illegal?? Please Help…..Wouldnt Want to Risk Losing Him xxx Thankz People x
There is no such recognised breed as an Irish Staff. Both the IKC, AKC and KC recognise the SBT (Staffordshire Bull Terrier) which is why you wil not have any KC papers with this dog.
The title Irish Staff is often used as a pseudonym for a pit bull (not an irish or any other version).
Your dog could be at risk under the DDA as it stands as it specifically states pit bull types.
As This Is Where I Found Out About It, my Dog Jake Looks exactly Like a Staff Jus Probably Abit Leaner and More Muscular. Obviously I Dont Want Him To Be Taken Off Me So Is It True If Hes Muzzled And Castrated Hes Allowed? Im Willing To Do ANYTHING!
The information on this website is incorrect. As you will see if you go to the Breed Standards of the IKC, there is no such thing as an Irish Staffordshire Bull Terrier, it is a made up name.
I would take advice from someone familiar with both the breed(s) and the issues who is on this forum
