Memberbecause most are gunners toby and they have to have something in gob the are genetically programmed to bring in a hunt ;D also with a bouncy gunner putting something in the mouth chills down the greet to an acceptable level so most folk have re-enforced the bring me something then…
roughs and greeting :canadian: :canadian: opera diva’s…..that singing would drive me nuts  never heard a racket like it…sure they can shatter glasses
bonnie just loves her aunty bev and she wins everytime because she has learnt how to avoid my avoidance…she a clever girlie and she knows it makes me laugh….
fritz has aunty bev syndrome ;D
rafe is developing aunty bev syndrome…hard to ignore a huge flattie when he persists on getting behind you on the sofa and nudge up under arm…he self rewards..he a flattie…they do things like that 🙂

Bev you mean your dogs greet depending how YOU greet them? as in sometimes we do sometimes we dont?Is that why Honey doesnt alays greet me? she knows when im home to stay – when i just pop in i often just say hello – thats it different from the fuss I give when im home for the night…………

MemberAs we live on the first floor of our house, i walk up the stairs, Wodan waiting when in reach will licklicklick my entire head. When i’m entirely upstairs he’ll smell, lick, push behind against my leg, licklicklick my hands, will have his head glued to my leg. Diesel stands behind him jumping up and down ‘canyouseeme, canyouseeeeeeme, canyou SEE me NOW???’, next Wodan walks beside me as i move to the livingroom, Diesel’s que he now can say hello, and Diesel jumps and will be somewhere in my neck ::) . He loves to jump up in my arms. But he tends to look down at Wodan and grumble at Wodan, so i don’t hold him up nomore when Wodan is beside me. Next i move to sit down. Will have 1 dog on lap. When he moves, the other will be on my lap, until finaly he moves when i say enough. Next…….. i can go find and greet my wife hahaha 😀 .

MemberMy dogs are thrilled when I come home. If I happen to have my hands full, I ask them to back up and let me through. By that time, by Frenchie is jumping up and down with joy, as my shepherd follows me close, his tail wagging like crazy.
And then….
Well, I just love to drop on my knees and get greeted!! ;D And well, that’s a greeting that’s often seen between wolves; my hands, face and neck are licked, they cuddle up to me, and Branco tries to get on my lap so he can reach me better. 😉
I just love my boys!!! 😀

MemberHee hee, they all sound soooo cute, you’d never catch me letting Rafe lick my face though! He has too much of a liking for eating gross things, and I won’t list them but I’m sure you all have similar tales!

[/quote]You’re lucky 😀 If I let him Loki would lick me continually…. usually on the face if he can… but he occasionally likes to give my hands a wash :-X
One lick is ok – but then I’ve had enough – considering the amount of time he spends licking his bits – I’d rather he kept away from my face :-X :-X

Memberdifferent reactions for different places and times, general fropm home when he is at mums he hears me coming and his tail starts to wag but he’ll stay exactly where he is once i’m in he’ll wag faster and look at me but won’t move if i look at him and acknowledge him (usually after i have spoken with mum and dad) then he’ll come all nice and sit lovely for a stroke once that polite greeting is done he’ll bounce all over until time to go…
at home and i come in during normal times he does similar stuff he is always on the couch and rolls over flashes me his winky then when all bags are down etc he comes for his snuggles…
if i have been out at a not normal time when i come home he goes mad and wee’s everywhere…if i take him to mums house outside of normal visiting times he wee’s everywhere…think we must have too much of a routine…since he got lost he now howls when i leave for a few mins and goes even more nuts if i go out late when i get back.

MemberHahaha yes, I know what you mean with ”flashing”… my boys do that too when they’re really excited. 😉
I don’t mind them licking my face… but watch out, before you know it, you’re accidentally french kissed…!! I even remember Rhodi’s NOSE in my mouth… :surprise: Urgh. I did NOT intend for that to happen, haha.

MemberNever a day goes buy where I dont have someone else doggy trying to snog my face off 😀 Doesnt bother me at all though I do tend to draw line at them sticking tongue in my mouth considering what they may have been eating!
Honey rarely licks, infact she NEVER licks my face unless asked except first thing in the morning, she always licks me and its a real wash is very strange….she does give kisses to other people but shes fussy, she doesnt lick everybody.
