Loki = Norse god of mischief – we were hoping the name would be ironic (as he would be so good ;D )
[/quote]I was hoping you’d post widget….I’ve met 5 Lokis now, all have been Labs…but never knew where the name came from…now I know. 8)

My Cats are called Reg(inald)after a friend’s hubby & Jaq(ueline)after another friends hubby-lol Jaq was supposed to be the other Tom from the litter but I was given the wrong kitten-so Jack became Jaq at the vets when they went for their first vax LOL I never checked them-was very :embarrass: 😮 & :surprise: when the vet told me-but it doesn’t matter as I would have had her if the other male had already got a home  :yes:November 4, 2008 at 11:25 am #70599GSPmad

MemberThere’s nothing wrong with having a female Loki…..because I do and she’s gorgeous lol!!! I think it sounds like quite a girlie name.
My Loki is a female Akita, she was named after the Norse God ‘Loki’ he was the God of Thievery, trickery, magic and fire and its suits my Akita down to the ground.
I also have Odin who is named after another Norse God, Odin the Norse God is a blood brother to Loki.
We also have Casper, Tegan, Squidge, Dolfi and Summer….
Dolfi is actually a German boys name and I gave that to our female Rottie as it sounded sweet and her sires side is all German.
