Will help to tighten and strengthen the area, getting her used to a pool now will help if she develops arthritis later in life hydrotherapy again will help.

Try not to walk her on too much concrete as it’s very unforgiving on joints.
It is a problem within the breed swimming is ideal for both hips and knees

No not done eye checks Val, it’s cateracts they are prone to isnt it? Is that something the vets do? Whats involved and what can I do if there’s something wrong?

I’m still trying to get hold of her papers but have informed the rescue of the problem with her knee!

I’ve spoken to our local hydrotherapy pool http://www.cherrytreehydrotherapy.co.uk/ and I’ve got a form for the vet to refer her  🙂 The lady said she’s be better off using the treadmill in the water as swimming involves them kicking the legs out more  🙂 First session is free then it’s £20!

Looks good, £20 is not bad, and 1st session free is good. Are you insured? if the vet refers you may be able to claim it back on the insurance.

You need an eye specialist to do it have a look on the KC site it doesn’t matter what breed are holding the testing clinic any breed is usually welcome,I have posted loads on here over the years will have a look for one in your area

My old Staffie, Sky used to get ever so stiff after a good run so I was only ever able to walk her every other day until I got her on Glucosamine and she was like a different dog!!

I have already got her on it (see first post  😉 ) Its called Mobile Bones, has glucosamine, chondroitin, MSM etc, so fingers crossed will help  🙂
