Millie, Patterdale, DOB 06.10 – Gatwick, West Sussex

Homing Requirements: Millie needs a terrier proof garden, exit management and extender lead exercise. Millie could live with another dog and has lived with dog friendly chilled cat but has been worked to kill vermin and has killed feathers, so great caution. Her Story: Millie was a tad too terrier for her owner but then was allowed to be worked by her son 2x ratting on an extender so hunt instincts were enlivened. Spayed, vax’d and chipped. Currently in kennels in Gatwick, West Sussex.
Advert: Millicent isn’t so innocent! She is accomplished with dogs inside her home and outside. She can be off lead in secure areas called to a whistle but needs to be away from livestock or rabbit areas. We recommend an extender lead to ensure her safety as she has no road sense. Millie attended basic training classes, accepted a Labrador x Spaniel pup into her life and lives with an elderly cat! She has a doggie friend visiting and mixes well. Only one altercation with the next door neighbours terrier. She will kill vermin. She lives with teenagers but hasn’t been around young children.
Millie is half pint size, 12″ to the shoulder. A mink brown smooth haired Patterdale in good health and has always been well treated. Needs to be secured in the car and a terrier proof garden. Millie is on the whole attuned to her owner and a little poppet inside and ‘at work’ outside!
Please note this dog is currently in boarding kennels and is also available for foster until a permanent home is found.

July 24, 2013 at 9:13 pm #89370sharon@rescueremediesMemberMillie wasn’t on our list to photograph at the Fun Day on Saturday, but how could we resist a few of the perfect little Patti herself when one of our volunteers brought her down to join us! Life without a Patti would be oh so boring because they just ooze character and this little pocket size Patti is no exception!
