my poor pup goes to see an eye specialist – hes got cherry eye, or at least we think so, he had a thorough examination by my own vet and shes in two minds as to whats going on – its definately the gland popping out but he has had a lot of problems with excessive tearing and shes concerned there is more going on – bit shocked cos didnt expect that, shes also worried the connective cartilage is whats pushing up – so hes been referred so we can make sure it gets sorted in the best possible way – they are reluctant to remove it nowadays because it can lead to dry eye later, but with the worrys over his tear ducts anyway i just dont know!! hopefully the specialist will say its nothing major and easily sorted so fingers crossed!! At the same time stitching it in place may not always be an option if the constant popping out of the gland has caused it damage!
