Not that I want to get involved in all of this but telling Kiz to stop stressing?! :-\ You have been getting good advice from everyone on this board and I cant believe the way you speak to them sometimes. Maybe its just me but I’m soo grateful for anyone who takes an interest in my posts I wouldnt dare speak to them the way you do.

But Kiz I meant no harm to you, so why are the other memmbers being so defensive and unfriendly to me? I am taking your advice and doing as you say, but why are they coming at me and laughing at me and dropping their little hidden word throwing remark?

the written word – go take pup for a pooh and remeber the treats

Ok – Labbats YOU need to stop stressing you have a very young puppy and you are expecting WAY too much from him when YOU have taught him all the wrong things. Excluding him because he MIGHT toilet on the floor is wrong-  hes a dog, a puppy, it happens  >:( and by excluding him may I ask how the hell are you going to be able to see the signs when he DOES need to go – no wonder hes toileting in the house.

My advice would be to go and read every single sticky on this board – digets the information properly, read through everything written on here – and then come back when you realise where your going wrong, Bev has explained very clearly and you could have the toileting problem fixed very quickly – but I dont think you have taken everything on board.

Stop worrying so much about his food and water – he will drink if hes thirsty and eat if hes hungry – you need a good strong routine of feed times and allow him access at all times to water – by having feeding at set times at this age it will help you learn when he is going to need the toilet.

No ones laughing at you – seems like some people have spent half the day trying to help – I think you will find everyone is fustrated in that you just dont appear to be taking on board all the information and make a joke out of everything – I personally found this thread a bit distressing to read and incredibly fustrating. Im not laughing at you  in fact after reading all this im struggling to raise a smile  🙁

I’m not laughing at you either, nor did I mean to sound unfriendly. I know how frustrating a new pup can be but above all I know how altho confusing, how helpful this board can be.. so on a good note fingers crossed I hope pup pooped!  ;D

Non one is laughing at you,but he is only a baby, you trained the poor baby tp go on the balcony and now you want to re train him,he probably doesn’t know if he’s coming or going :(,When I got my dog I also had a baby of 15 months plus another toddler and a 7 year old,I had no accidents within the first week of collecting him,it was hard work but I stuck with it,I never put him in another room incase he needed the toilet,I can remember standing in the garden 5am in the morning umberella, ciggie and a cup of coffee in the pooring down rain, but it was worth it,you only get out of a dog what you put in 🙂

I can relate mel  ::) I got some funny looks of my neighbors when Jake was being house trained I can tell you

I did the same Mel… without the fags altho i nearly started up again, would have given me something to do whilst standing like a melon in the early hours

If the dog is not unwell then like the others have said… it will eat, eventually… do the ten minute rule thing and remove it after… add more to the meal later on….

Toilet training is a xomplete a$£e if it goes wrong, I know we confused Fritz by taking bad advice but we got there.. it takes a lot of patience and careful timing  😉 keep a record of how often each pee and poo occurs.. you’ll see a pattern and can get him out in time and reward  😉
