Pit Bull Lover
Memberi have a pit bull that was rescured and i got told that i am not allowed to have any other dogs if i want him i told them to give me a week to show that there is no danger in having other dogs with a pit they gave it to me and when they returned they were socked my pit named Buddy was playing with them. when the owners want them to fight they beat them and then they want to take it out on somthing and they get thrown it with other dogs so they fight. they are not mean you should Blame the Deed Not the Breed

MemberYou wont find many people like that here, so no need to try to change our minds 😉 most of us are very much for all dogs whatever the breed.

GuestHello and welcome 🙂
I don’t judge dogs by their breeding – Loki is as likely to meet an agressive collie as staffie or rottie in London… I’ve met agressive versions of almost every breed (well – it feels like it!) – and nice ones too ;D

GuestHi,
I think for most breeds the tendancies the dog displays are mainly down to the owner’s match with the dogs needs.
e.g. if you have a i dunno …. working cocker for instance and dont know the breed or training requirements but let it rampage round the house with your two kids for 6 months you are gonna have a fairly uncontrollable difficult dog which may push you to introduce harsh / inappropriate training and eventually you may well end up with a dog which nips and bites kids ……

i agree all dogs nip and bite but when a pit or rottie does it they are put down and the band from that city or stateDecember 18, 2008 at 10:31 pm #71428kendal
Memberexactly, any dog could bite. even my two who most would consider to be the cute cuddly powder puff dogs, could bite. i mean when my three play with each other they are very noisy and sound like they are trying to kill each other, but thats all it is noise.
my wee brother was 3 when we got the girls, so we had to make sure the dogs knew not to mouth. in fact Iness bit Gypsy’s tail at one point and she jumped away from him and sat and looked at my mum.
but i would still never leave them in a room alone with him(not that the would stay with him, they know if they are with him he will just annoy them)
all down to how you bring them up, or how you rehabilatate them.

It’s very easy to make a good dog bad, but it’s not SO easy to make a bad dog good!
