MemberFor Tam and all the dogs loved and missed
If it should be that I grow weak,
And pain should keep me from my sleep
Then you must do what must be done
For this last battle can’t be won
You will be sad, I understand
Don’t let your grief then stay your hand
For this day more than all the rest
Your love for me must stand the testWe’ve had so many happy years
What is to come can hold no fears
You would not want me to suffer so
The time has come please let me goTake me to where my needs they will tend
And stay with me to the end
Hold me firm and speak to me
Until my eyes no longer seePlease do not grieve it must be you
Who has this painful thing to do
We’ve been so close ,we two these years
Don’t let your heart hold back the tears. For Diesel :-*
“If you bury him in this spot, he will come to you when you call.
Come to you over the grim, dim frontiers of death,
and down the well-remembered path to your side again.
And though you call a dozen living dogs to heel,
they shall not growl at him, nor resent him coming, for he belongs there.
People may scoff at you, who see no lightest blade of grass bent by his footfall,
who hear no whimper; people who may never really have had a dog.
Smile at them, for you shall know something that is hidden from them,
and which is well worth the knowing.
The one best place then, to bury a dog, is in the heart of his master….”August 17, 2011 at 5:20 pm #90000Diesel73
MemberOh Lass :'( …. Come here you *hugg*. We’ll take the two we together have left and go to the favourite places the two we have lost loved so much. Than we go home, curl up on the sofa, cry our eyes out whilst telling stories about our lost ones. We won’t cry a river but break the dam to flood the world around. And than, when we think we can cry no more, i’ll hold you tight and we watch true blood all night until the break of dawn.
It’s funny how we can keep on going, and the pain of losing something so precious -in time- seems to fade. Only to hit us at full force again at times when we expect it the least, and we come to realize that our heart craves still so badly for that what we have lost.
But on those devastating moments that your heart bleeds again, think sweet Lass…. If we didn’t feel the pain of a pts of a dog this bad, than we still wouldn’t know what it is like to REALLY love and be loved by a dog….August 17, 2011 at 6:54 pm #90001*Lassie*

[/quote]Thank you Diesel (((hugs))) in return :-*
Willow is a constant reminder, she is starting to act in ways that Tam did, including attacking the lawnmower and barking when I put a new bin liner in. Things she never did before, he is still watching over us bless him.August 25, 2011 at 6:16 pm #90002Diesel73
MemberI know what you mean, sweety. It is indeed strange, weird and i guess also funny and somehow even compforting to see how the younger one becomes a copy of the one that’s gone. Diesel is no longer everybodies’ friend. All of a sudden he’s much more reserved like Wodan was.
It’s like asif one is wispering into the other’s ear how to act and what to do. -
